4000 pickup rewind

So, I`m finishing up the restoration on my `75 BurgandyGlo bass, and the last thing to do is have the button top Hi-gain pickup rewound. I got it on Reverb knowing that it was in need of some help. I know that these PUs have a different than usual gauge wire, and am asking if anyone has someone to recommend for rewiring Ric PUs?
Thanks.

Sergio Silva is always a good choice and he is on this forum and even has his own section.

Other places that rewind are Seymour Duncan and Lindy Fralin, among others. They key is that you want 44 gauge wire, probably polysol wire, and it needs to be wound to around 8k-9k.

Unfortunately, Sergio hasn't been around here for a couple years.

Unfortunately (again) I think Lindy Fralin is no longer rewinding Rickenbacker pickups. That information is a little stale, I'm on a slow connection so I can't check his web site right now. Too bad, because he did a stellar job rewinding the pickups in my F*nd*r Jazz.
