But I haven't played even one of the two I have left in three years. No sense having three I don't play. But it sure is pretty!

I stopped collecting 10 years ago, but sometimes a Rickenbacker is produced that checks all the boxes for me--and this is it. LOTS of boxes. I forgot how much I love the Toaster pickups.

I love the tone and looks (I admit it ) of toasters, so almost all of my Rick basses that I have owned over the decades (lots of them) have had at least one toaster pickup on them, in several cases, two of them. My 2030 GF being the one exception to having no toasters on it.

Even, all the Rick electric guitars I've owned had two toaster on each of them.

Bought a used 2016 Mapleglo 4003 about a year ago from Wildwood, and then a Toaster/Horseshoe pickup combo from RIC. Years ago I bought one of Dane's harnesses for a project that never happened. The intent was to send everything off for a Montezuma Brown refin with checkerboard binding, and to have everything installed. Wasn't sure how to handle the vintage truss rod cover...could those still be swapped through RIC? Unbelievably, Wildwood basically delivered on pretty much all of this, new. It DOES need a setup and I'll rough it in today, then take it back to Wildwood in about a month for a free adjustment. The only thing I might have done differently is move the neck pickup 1/4" closer to the fretboard.

Honestly, the best looking Ric out there in a long time!!! Truly love that finish, the binding and the TRC, along with the toaster pickup. Really, good job Ric for Wildwood guitars!
