Nut for a Ric 3000

Post by sarlscharisma »

I've just bought a standard pre-cut ric nut for my 3000, but it seems to shallow with fret buzz. Is this the right nut for this bass?

The currently available bass nuts from RIC will not fit any 70's Ricks properly. Some of the older fretboards are too thick, and the necks were about 1/16 narrower at the net. You'll need to have a guitar tech make you one from scratch.
