Treble Pickup Surround Screws

I did a search but didn't find what I was after, so...

I replaced the pickguard on my NOIR with a black Pickguardian unit that I covered with a 3M carbon fiber style decal. I think it looks pretty good. I'm looking to replace the pickguard screws,etc. with black hardware. I was able to find the screw sizes for everything except the treble pickup surround - what I have marked as "C" in the attached pic. Can someone help me out and let me know what size that screw is?

Here's what I have so far:

• A - Pickguard screw. RIC part 05202, 4 x 3/8"

• B - Neck Pickup Mounting Screw. RIC part 05112, 4-40 x 1/2"

• D - Treble Pickup Mounting Screw, RIC part 05106, 10-32 x 1 1/4"

Forgive me for my simplicity, but couldn't you just apply a little black paint to the heads of the standard screws?

Please don't try to interject any common sense here, lol. Yeah, I thought about that, but didn't want to commit in case I don't like the result. I guess I could always try to remove the paint though...

I looked in the Boutique, but didn't find anything that I was confident was the right screw. Out of those, my guess would be the first one since I think the surround has a smaller screw than the #4 screws used for the pickguard.

I'm familiar with McMaster Carr, Grainger, etc. What I don't know though is the size of the screw that I need. I'll probably remove one of them and take it to the local hardware store to see if I can match it.

Its a wood screw. (A #3 wood screw to be specific)

RIC part number 05200, I believe.
Its the same screw that RIC specifies for the TRC, Output Jack Plate, and Tuning Machines.

A #3 wood screw - about 3/8" long.
That's the easy part.
The hard part is the Round Head with Phillips drive slot.
And the RIC part has a very distinctive head shape to it.

I've never been able to find them at a local hardware store.
And, if I recall, I had trouble finding them in McMasterCarr.
I ended up using a Fender Tuning Machine screw from All-Parts.

Right on ... (and Power to the People.)

The RIC screws are a very odd little critter.
They have a very squared off "round head".
Almost like a really tall PanHead.
But it takes a keen eye to spot the difference.
Did I mention - I'm a machinist by trade?
I do threads 24/7 so ...

In summation ... #3 x .375" wood screw w/ Panhead or Roundhead & Phillips drive.
I'd buy them from POTRs but he doesn't currently list them.

I hope to find black ones so I don't have to paint them. But will paint them if needed.

I played it at rehearsal last night and it sounds great. The CF pickguard looks really good on that bass.

My local hardware store has black painted screws in the "decorative" box of the Hillman Fastener drawers. I used the small ones on a black hardware bass project. They look good for a while, but any painted (or anodized) steel fastener will eventually wear through the finish. If you go the Boutique route, buy extras so the repeat postage doesn't eat you alive.

I called RIC and the man that answered gave me the part number, but they are not available separately (you would have to get the entire surround) from the boutique. So I will check my local hardware store. If that doesn't pan out, I'll just spray paint them black and see how that goes.
