Nice to see you back, Jim.
Nice herd of Ricks, too!
I'm down to just one, though I'm struggling hard to resist getting an old one.

Yes, good to see your post. Congrats on the new addition and those seem to be some new amps as well. Do you still have your B15S?

Sadly no, I sold it and almost immediately regretted it the ones in the picture are:Kiddwad57 wrote:Yes, good to see your post. Congrats on the new addition and those seem to be some new amps as well. Do you still have your B15S?
1963 B-15NL (25 Watt)
(I got it for $350) It had a blown power transformer, removed and sent that to Fliptops who repotted a new one in the original can, had my local Valve Tech (Glenn Tennison) go over the amp, replace add a modern style IEC power connector and a Speakon output.
I use Mullard EL-37's as power valves and have also tried KT-66's as well, both sound great, with the EL-37's being my favorites
It also had a non-standard (blown) Musicman 15 which came out and as replaced with an Altec 421-8H which sounds great. I've a 60 page report from Glenn on the restoration of the B-15 I'd be happy to share, and if anyone can point me to a location here on the forum I'll open a post on the restoration and upload the report
All in all I spent around $300 having it repaired and restored and it's a wonderful amp.
The other is my "larger" venue rig consisting of:
- Line-6 Wirless Transmiter
Furhman Power Distribution and Protection
Old School Crown D-75 (I"ve a Crown K2 if I need serious power)
Ampeg SVT-2 Preamp
Korg DTR rack tuner
Cabinets are:
Ampeg Portaflex 1x15 (fitted with another Altec 421-8H)
Ampeg Portaflex 2x10 (fitted with Altec 425-8H's)
