Where to buy grommets and screws for toaster?

Post by anoukane »

I need grommets and two screws for a toaster pickup. Can’t find the grommets in the boutique.
Anyone have a spare laying around or know where I could buy them?
Thanks!

I was going to paste a link or two here for grommets, but there are several options via Google; most point to Reverb...

Go down to your local hardware store. Grommets and screws like this are off-the-shelf pieces.

If you need to buy other Rickenbacker-specific parts, then by all means order from a dealer or RIC. But something and insignificant as grommets wouldn't justify an order, IMO.

...these, however, caught my eye - made of synthetic rubber:

Look pretty cool, to me.

IIRC, there have been some comments in the past about some of the after-market grommets containing plasticizers that could affect the finish. I would recommend searching the Forum for any additional useful information.

FWIW, the grommets that come from the factory have affected the finish for 50+ years, so it doesn’t matter too much where you get the grommets. The finish is only damaged under where the grommets sit and not a big deal IMO.
