especially when they performed all four sides at madison square gardens ! i first saw yes in '78 in providence, and my butt was getting numb sitting thru all the long songs. think of what my butt would have felt like thru "tales" ! chris also used to play a rick 360 mapleglo. i think the films of "queen's park" show him playing it. i did find a clip of "seen all good people" with with chris playing a rick acoustic.

Here is a shot of the MPC (modules) circa '80 for those of us who also saw the Drama tour. Note the Mutron and Brassmaster on the rack. The Marshall, Conn ST-11 tuner, etc.

I’ve got the original fish out of water bass that was commissioned for the Harrods hard rock exhibition, the parts where donated by mr hall- painted by Paul kerslake and rebuilt by Dan Macpherson guitars, Chris squire told them how he wanted the guitar to be and then commissioned another 4 to be built for himself-so there was only 5 of these guitars made, mines currently up for sale, I’m currently accepting offers- if anybody’s interested you can contact me at belfastbackline@ gmail.com

A bit of thread necromancy here (and a bit of forumite necromancy, too: hello! - it's been a long time), but over on Twitter I see Geoffrey Mason posted some Yes pics taken in 1969. Chris is playing a blue Rickenbacker that looks like the RM dot neck but on a regular 4001 body...but it's painted differently too. I never saw this bass before. Was it the RM1999 we know and love, in yet another transitional phase, post-flower power, post-silver paper and rubber edge, and (obviously) pre-cream? Perhaps the white binding is actually just paint?

Yes - it's Chris RM1999 by the second time he decorated it with metallic wallpaper and the binding is also made up. The last version before the definitive cream lacquer look. This is also visible on their appearance in 1969 TV show in Belgium, often available on YouTube!
