We managed to get past Security and into the Miami show.

I don't like to comment on these threads for fear of being a spoiler. I will just concur with much of what has been said already.

They played masterfully, John did an AMAZING job with the vocals AND he was a really nice, pleasant fellow to talk to after the show.

A wonderful night for sure!

To anyone that has seen the TWO-album version of the show (at casinos):

they generally drop the "Going for the One" album on these shows yet I have seen photos that have confetti dropping from the ceiling at some point at the casino shows. Since they have been dropping the confetti for "Awaken" at the THREE-album shows, what song are they using confetti for on the two-album shows?

Seems odd that they would be featured in the RRHOF "legends" concert, when they haven't been inducted..... :?

Saw the Band last evening in Montreal....

What a night I had with my friend and there is only one thing to say: Chris Squire has it all !!! His Tone was simply pure and perfect ( of course, using his Rickenbacker bass ) and his playing was once again unbelievable. I have seen him about four times, that man made me spend thousands of money towards basses and amps, and yet I still cannot achieve the Tone he could get last evening !!! I don't believe he had PA support, or if so, very little. I was right in the center of the place and had the best seat of the house !!

Congrats to Chris and his YES band members once again !! Jon Davison really, but really surprised me as well ! Steve Howe, everything has been said about him and I have seen and met him on several occasions, he is simply inspired by God !!! :-)

Well, I have a feeling........

Tonight's interview show was fantastic! Very interesting and candid discussion, and after the Q&A with the audience, Geoff performed a solo keyboard bit. Then, Steve did an acoustic bit showcasing his Chet side. 8) Then, John Davidson got back up on stage and he and Steve performed some bits from TFTO! :D  Truly fantastic!!! 8)

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like a great event.

(By the way, another Hall of Fame omission: Todd Rundgren. Hard to believe, especially with his Producing credentials.)

Yes, Todd should have been in quite some time ago, but we know there is a special agenda with the RH, unfortunately. Well, maybe that is changing now that Rush is finally in! 8)

The rain held off and it was a beautiful, if a bit muggy, evening. Draining show, given how great it was (quite intense); so wonderful to hear these albums played in their entirety. 8) We were in the 4th row right in front of Chris! With my Leica 8x50 binoculars stuck to my eyes most of the show I was in heaven. :D John Davidson did an amazing job in all departments, really, notably so on Awaken. Steve brought a slew of guitars (I thought he said somewhere that he was using the Line 6 primarily, certainly not at Cain Park). It was cool seeing the replica of the triple neck bass as I had seen the original Wal in '75 with Roger Newell (Rick Wakeman). And, the Ranney looks (and sounds) amazing in the "flesh". Chris also had the extended length Tobias, and his old Jazz Bass. I was close enough that we heard his rig quite well; The RM sounded great, as expected. Looking at his controls (the body of the bass filled up a goodly portion of the field of view in the Leica), I noted that most of the time he had all the controls dimed except the toaster tone control which was pretty much rolled off the whole time. During one song he had the horseshoe tone control rolled all the way off, too. I was pretty amazed at how much treble his toaster has with the tone rolled off when soloed, as if the tone control was not working at all. :? I was almost surprised at how high the action is on the RM; it seemed okay by the nut but much higher than I would have expected at the heel end of the neck. This would be a good time for another :? . During the obligatory encore of...........you guessed it..........Roundabout (I so wish they would have done something else, I actually shouted out Time And A Word to them before they started the song) Chris looked back towards his tech as he noticed (so did I) a very buzzy kind of distortion that sounded very unlike any distortion Chris would use, maybe a tube in his Marshall going bad, or...
