Seriously?
Had to post this...

I'm not bidding, but, hey, Pete, forget about buying Dane's 4001CS8 and pick this up instead for that truly authentic stage experience!

And the REST of the collection!!!
http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/aucti ... =LotNumber
"In a rare and remarkable offering seldom seen on the auction block, an impressive collection of stage clothing worn by Chris Squire of 70s prog rock band “Yes” is set to be auctioned in our Music Memorabilia sale on 7th June 2013. The collection features over 25 lots including the flamboyant "Butterfly" outfit; purple satin shirt with front ties decorated on the reverse with a sequined butterfly & pink and purple stones (Est £3,000 - £4,000). The striking shirt was worn by Chris on the 1972 "Closer To The Edge". Chris was well known for the unique and colourful wardrobe that he wore on stage and many of his signature items are in the sale and estimated collectively in the region of £20,000 - £30,000.
Mr Squire kindly gifted his tour wardrobe from the 70's & 80's to his young grandchildren . It has been decided to place them into auction, so that fans of the of the band can purchase a piece of their tour history.
Auctioneer Paul Fairweather states "This is an incredible collection of unique stage clothing spanning the major part of the bands musical history. Most of the items are complete one-offs which obviously adds to their appeal and value."

Seriously?
I remember the first time seeing Yes, at Winterland arena, San Francisco, around that time. It was after the Close to the Edge release and before the Topographic Oceans release. Those were the days !

Hmmm...You think they'd have waited till after Chris had passed away to start selling things he had probably thought they'd cherish and keep.

Re: Seriously?
If I had the money, I would buy the green jacket. Just too cool.
But at those prices, I would need them to add the used socks to stand a chance!

Hi Jim,
Been really busy so only just spotted the post.
The auction was in Stockport!!
Just 6 miles away.
Oh well,
I dont think I could get away with buying a £2000 shirt!
I only just got away with buying a £2000 bass.
Going to see Steve Howe doing a solo gig on Sunday at Leicester by the way.
Full report next week.
Pete.
