Maybe she just realizes that in a couple of years, she'll be singing "To Sir, With Love"

The eight bars of bass solo with strings at the end of the song still moves me.

In To Sir With Love the band were The Mindbenders who were linked with Wayne Fontana prior to both going their seperate ways. so bass player would have been Bob Lang unless there is some other sequence in the film, only seen it once.

Bob Lang is mostly responsible for my switching from "picking" the bass with my thumb to using fingers. I couldn't play the little bass run-up lick in "The Game of Love" using just my thumb. Don't know why I didn't switch to a pick, but I didn't. Of course I eventually would have switched because of James Jamerson, but Bob was the initial impetus.
