The eight bars of bass solo with strings at the end of the song still moves me.

Bob Lang is mostly responsible for my switching from "picking" the bass with my thumb to using fingers. I couldn't play the little bass run-up lick in "The Game of Love" using just my thumb. Don't know why I didn't switch to a pick, but I didn't. Of course I eventually would have switched because of James Jamerson, but Bob was the initial impetus.
