Yes indeed! Should be interesting at the least. Don't know if the rest of the world will get to see it... I wonder if Chas Hodges was involved?

... and even more info here:

The lovely irony in the cast list is Jess Conrad playing Larry Parnes, while someone else plays Jess Conrad!

Re: Telstar - The Movie
Thanks for info on this movie it was originally scheduled for release last year.
I note a number of names playing other characters whilst younger actors play them, which has to be of course. Clem Cattini (Tornados), Mike Sarne, John Leyton to name just three, in addition to Jess Conrad already mentioned, Conrad never really hit the big time in UK, in fact one of his records was voted one the worst ever released a while back.
What does intrigue/annoy me though somewhat, is that like with the Movie "The Boat That Rocked" there seems to be the need to include one of today's acts, mainly the girl singer Duffy, doing her version of a old number in "The Boat That Rocked" she did "Stay with Me Baby", whereas in this movie she does "Please Stay", unless there are licensing issues why could they not include the Meek produced version by Crying Shames.
On Liverpool Project forum, Crying Shames were recently the subject of a fairly acrimonious debate.
Crying Shames
Here's both versions of afore mentioned song, I know which I prefer but then again I'm perhaps not the one to judge.
