CLASS OF 64

Post by royclough »

A great solo track by Mike Pender which for a long while could only be found on an 80s album called Class Of 64, which had a very limited release and featured some known and some unknown ex Merseybeat luminaires. This is in my view very much in the style of The Searchers who MP left at end of 1985.

Nice track, Roy! VERY much the Searchers sounds, as you say - and with a very George Harrisonesque slide guitar solo!
I must admit that to me, Mike Pender was to a large extent the face and sound of the Searchers, and I think it was a shame he left - but then again, it's none of my business!!
