cloughs classics presents

Post by royclough »

A real rarity neve released and unlikely to be, a demo made with hope of securing new contract allegedly with CBS in late 70s.

I guess I'm old-fashioned... I like my Searchers to sound like the Searchers!
This song also doesn't really grab me either - too "bitty".
Having said all that, thanks for putting it up for us to hear, Roy - it's all fascinating stuff.

An interesting track Roy.

We should all remember, as you point out, that it is a demo, not a finished product. That said, I'm glad they ended not getting this deal as I doubt the end product would have ended as satisfying as the Sire albums. Sire, Moran and Stasium knew what the Searchers were all about and took them back to their roots.

This for me is definitely the better of the 2 songs. Are either of these originals Roy?

You Got me originally done by Tanya Tucker but I do believe Falling In Love was written by the group.
