As it's been a bit quiet here lately, here's a clip of The Undertakers circa 1963. Beatle fans should note that Jackie Lomax would later wind up on Apple Records as a solo artist for a couple of years. Despite a determined effort by George Harrison, Jackie's career never really took off.

The Undertakers with Jackie Lomax
Re: The Undertakers with Jackie Lomax
I have that documentary Jeff that this is taken from. One of many Liverpool bands from the time who could net get that elusive hit that would propel them into nationally known.
Working on something at moment for a bit of fun to try and generate a bit more interest.

Thanks Roy, I'm looking forward to what your working on; it's been too quiet around here.
From reading the Liverpool Beat site (http://www.liverpoolbeat.com/) it sounds like The Undertakers play the occasional reunion gig when Jackie comes through town. I'd love to see one of those shows...

Re: The Undertakers with Jackie Lomax
To the best of my knowledge, last time Jackie Lomax was on a Liverpool stage together with Brian “Sax” Jones, Geoff Nugent and a reformed Undertakers was August 2009 …JeffZ wrote:From reading the Liverpool Beat site (http://www.liverpoolbeat.com/) it sounds like The Undertakers play the occasional reunion gig when Jackie comes through town.
Also in the line up that night were …
Drums: Mike O’Brien (ex-Rockin Horse and Shooter)
Bass: Bill Good (ex-Lee Curtis’s All Stars and Shooter)
Lead Guitar: Baz Davies (ex-Kingsize Taylor & the Dominoes)
While very little live performance footage survives of the original Undertakers, recently posted on You Tube is this well put together slideshow of many previously unseen photographs of the group authored by one Dylan Pemberton, who I understand is the nephew of the Undertakers original drummer, Bugs Pemberton.
Re: The Undertakers with Jackie Lomax
Thanks for putting this up. It's always good to hear an old band from back in the day who still has some kick.

Re: The Undertakers with Jackie Lomax
The original 60s lineup of the Undertakers were a exciting unique sound, typical of the U-Tube rendering in Jeff's posting of the Undertakers at the Iron Door 1963. The band performed regularly at the club. Peter Hamilton( Everton) Square observes rightly that the name of the Undertakers lives on under the very positive direction of the Geoff Nugent who was in the famous original 60s lineup.
