Rubber Grommets

Re: Rubber Grommets
My dearly departed 1961 FG 375 OS had rubber grommets and my 330 has the very same vintage bridge with grommets. They are supposed to stop the rattling/chiming effect that you get when a height adjuster screw backs off due to aggressive strumming. Mine back off a lot regardless.

Here is a picture of the early style bridge complements of another fourm member. If you push the rubber O rings down to the bottom of the height shafts it will serve a duel purpose. Deflect vibration and give a little more hold to the height screws after you do your setup. For those of you that play hard.
Re: Rubber Grommets
Did someone say "Duel"

Re: Rubber Grommets
I cant see how these would deflect the vibration when the screws relax? Maybe i should give it a try......
I think not...
Re: Rubber Grommets
If you push the o ring down to the bottom of the height post ,it may not back out as easily as having the o ring at the top because it contacts the bottom of the bridge plate giving that little extra grip. But if you play really hard then nothings going to work except a dab of white glue on the threads of the height post.
