I think I am going to start taking bass lessons

Post by phlemmy »

After 8 years, I think it's time.

When I was a drummer, I took lessons after playing for 5 years and it opened up a whole new world for me. I am hoping this will do the same.

The guy I am going to get them from was the bassist for Spoon, Joshua Zarbo. Fantastic player and a great guy. He used to work for Bass Emporium.

Good on ya, Sean.

What are you looking to learn? Technique? Theory?

I haven't the slightest clue.

I almost feel guilty about it as my current guitarist is a teacher and a GIT grad, he knows his stuff and is an excellent teacher, but he's also my bro. I don't think I'd be as comfortable in a lesson type setting. Plus he teaches me a lot every week anyhow.
