A New Forum Name (The Groove Yard)
A New Forum Name (The Groove Yard)
Some of you may have noticed already that we have been at work again behind the scenes.
We have decided to consolidate some of the musical forums and at the same time broaden the scope of the new forum to include other genres, that were not finding much of a voice in the past for discussion on the Rick Resource Forum.
Pre and post British invasion, punk and instrumental artists are still covered by Roy, Sheena and George’s sections.
This new section will afford you the opportunity to discuss your favourite artists and their music from any other genre.
As in the past feel free to ask the section moderator questions about how the music business works and he will be pleased to assist you to obtain the information that you need or would like to read.
We trust that you will enjoy and participate in this latest development in our ongoing quest to simplify and make your reading and posting experience more pleasant on the Rick Resource Forum.
In closing, there are no genre limitations with respect to this new section except as noted herein.
Many thanks to those who have contributed to the forums that now form The Groove Yard. Thanks also to Brian Medway for his assistance in putting this new forum together and for his willingness to take on the responsibilities as moderator.

I like the name of the new forum.
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!

There's actually a bit of a story behind the name. When I have time I'll post it.

I THOUGH I responded to this thread, but as usual, I guess I'm wrong!
TOO many brain cells have perished during my youth, the scale has tipped.....I'm just toast I guess.

Re: A New Forum Name (The Groove Yard)
Any other genre? Rap included? (Kiddin'.)

Sweet! Another nice conversation catalyst couldn't hurt.
Re: A New Forum Name (The Groove Yard)
Groove Yard is the name of a Montgomery Brothers (Wes Montgomery) album from the late 50s or early 60s. It's a great jazz album from just before Wes got really famous. I think I still have the original vinyl. I'll post a photo of the cover if I can find it.
Re: A New Forum Name (The Groove Yard)
After almost a year and a half I finally got around to doing this.
Enjoy.
