"Wiki" group shows up in "compose new pm"

Does this "group" means one could be sending PMs to persons that one does not know are copied in ?

Yes, as soon as I click "compose message" to start a fresh brand new pm, it already has "Wiki" in the "group" section, and I haven't figured out how to remove it there, so once I click "ADD[TO]" for whoever I want to send it to to be added, it also adds the wiki group and I have to then remove it. I have received a pm from someone who did not intend to send it to the wiki group; I imagine this is how it happened.

I'm sure you just got another one, as well.
I had forgotten that phpbb does this but only when you click the group in the list.
It's a misfeature of phpbb, IMO and probably can't be rectified.

I've gotten three, I think, since posting last in this thread!

Yeah, but it seems that everyone who accidentally sent messages to the wiki group were marking the group before composing a new message...

Well, I was one of the Stupidos to send y'all a PM
When I wanted to reply to some Scottsman, I hit "submit", I was confused, as I got a preview of my PM, I scrolled down, hit "submit" again and only then wondered if I did not spot an extra recipient... checked the PM... there you were
