Just the typical thread drift that seems to happen around here, especially when something silly happens and we get talking about something interesting again...

There are more pics in "The Register":

It's a nice addition to my 16 string Rick:

Uh... you wouldn't want to hear how it sounds. Well, not with me playing it anyway. I'm a bass player and just barely learning how to play steel...

Yes, assuming everyone knows how to effectively communicate.

If there was a Rickenbacker conference and I needed to look 30 different people in the eye and have a "reasonably meaningful" conversation before being allowed in, if I needed to "fit in" before being accepted into the conference, then sadly I definitely wouldn't make the cut either

Kenny Howes is a great guy! I've spoken to him on the phone. Last October we were both at the Arlington Guitar show. I was doing business with Jim Elyea when Kenny walked up to the table. Jim and Pam were so excited to see him, I on the other hand turned and walked away.

Life is difficult for some people, not everyone has it together. If people put me down for my shortcomings it would make my life even harder. Sometimes you need to give people a break and cut them some slack, they don't have it as good as you.

Sorry to sound like an after-school special :D

Brian, I can definitely relate to what you're saying here, as I'm not a very social person in general. But there's a big difference between having trouble communicating and just being a brazen jerk, as was the recent case.

He did cut corners and broke the rules, but I disagree about him being a brazen jerk and I'll leave it at that.
