Ace/Acedemy grounding

Post by xsubs »

I recently had to replace the cap and one pot on my old Ace lap, but now it's pretty noisy.
I believe it's improper grounding?
What is the proper method for grounding an instrument that doesn't have metal parts to ground the strings with (It's all bakelite)? I don't remember it being this noisy before...
Thanks!
