1937 - How'd I do?

I took it apart and checked it out. The pickup will not adjust at all, so I'm stuck with having to use a light touch with the right hand.

The newspaper inside was dated "Summer 1938." It was some kind of mayonaise advertising supplement. Reading the lengthy ad disguised as a section of the paper, it made me realize (as I have done before) that all that talk of how "commercial" our contemporary society is, is just baloney. We're no worse than they were 70 years ago!
