RICKENBACHER 1937 MODEL 59 LAP STEEL, RICKENBACKER Serial # E103 stamped on the end of the head stock. One of the first lap steels made by Richenbacher. The model 59 is a 22&1/2" inch scale. Guitar is working fine and has a nice clean sound to it. Body is in good shape with no dents. There are some scratches, blemishs and edge wear in the finish. This guitar is made out of metal with a sort of bake lite or paint finish on it. It looks as thought the tuning gears may not be original, but I am not sure; some of the screws that hold the tuning gears to the head stock are not fully seated. Overall guitar is in good shape and ready to play. There is no case and no slides with this guitar.
