I seldom start a new subject, but I just couldn't keep myself from presenting this instrument to this seldom read forum.

This is an early Model 100, probably late 50s and in really nice shape. These things really sound great and seldom go for more than $400-450.
If there's anyone out there that wants to break into lap steel, this one is a real player. It's not a true collector's instrument, yet.
I'll be surprised to see it sell for more than $500. If it does, I guess it will be considered collectible.
Here's one of the real deals.

Richard: Holy zplasty Batman. What a marvellous photographic presentation. Thanks for your comments.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I wouldn't mind having one of those. Not this year, though.

Thanks for this, Richard. I WILL have a lap steel of some sort one day, hopefully sooner than later.
Re: Here's one of the real deals.
Dang, missed the ending - went for $427.22, a good price.
Re: Here's one of the real deals.
That really is a pretty good price, but higher than I expected.
Here's an even better one.

Considering the sale price on the previous one this one should go for around $500.
