Blue is one of the colors original to this instrument. Most were brown, but they were also made in white and red.

It sold for $501. That's the highest price I've seen for any Rick lap steel in that class. I'm really happy to see that price. It's probably the rarity of the color, but those Ace and Academy models are great lap steels and well worth the price in any color.
