can anyone identify the year and value of my steel? it has 3 legs and a case. it is wood body.

My guess is that it's a model 100 from the '60s.
Is there a serial no. stamped on the jackplate? If so, that will enable precise dating.

I would say value of yours is $350 - $450 or so.

The "value" of anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
There is currently an identical instrument on Ebay for a starting bid of $595.
I don't think any knowledgeable buyer would pay quite that much.
Yours looks to be in nice shape.
However, the Model 100 series is not considered very collectible, but it is a good sounding player.

I hope our estimate is wrong.
There is currently an identical instrument on Ebay for a starting bid of $595.
I don't think any knowledgeable buyer would pay quite that much.
