B6 magnet.

The magnet is magnetized obviously, but how to tell?

Put something made of steel/iron on the top chrome part of the magnet, and it sticks? How hard should something stick?

I saw this somewhere:
"Some pickup designs used magnets that were not made of a permanent magnetic alloy. A prime example is the Rickenbacker horseshoe pickup. These magnets – which are the “horseshoes” themselves – often go dead or “almost” dead. Once they lose their magnetic charge to a sufficient degree, the result will be a loss of output and frequency response".

How does one remagnetize the B-6 magnet if needed?

Hi Jon,

Check out this thread on bass horseshoe pickups - there are some re-gaussing tips and links. These should work for the B6 pickup.
