Dating a Model B6 Lap Steel

Post by BethAnne »

Hi,
This lap steel has been in my family since (our best estimate) 1952. From looking at pictures on this site, I've identified it as a B-6, post war. It has no markings other than the pat. #2089171. It has a tweed/crushed velvet case. I understand that the T-logo on the headstock makes it pre-1950? I didn't know how to load the photo here, so it is in my profile section. (I'm a spazz!)
I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks in advance,
Beth

Beth,
The most accurate way to date the instrument is by pot. code.
