Of equal interest: Why did that take a week?

BEHOLD!

http://www.leedsradio.com/parts-knobs.html

I never thought I'd see a site where you can actually get the old Rogan knobs...scroll all the way down, third from the bottom.

Dan, thanks for the link--I placed an order with them this morning--I'll let you know what turns up.

Dan, you're kidding! I emailed them last night, had a reply when I woke up this AM, placed the order about 10 mins later.

Only concern I have is that picture--if they're really 1 1/2" in diameter, I think they're going to be too big for the 325. I figured for $8 I'd take the chance, but we'll see.

I didn't get too excited about these:

1. 1 1/2" diameter is 50% too big
2. The Rogans JL used had noticeable angled sides; these are not angled except a slight "draft" angle
3. The knurling on JL's was quite coarse; these are fine
4. JL's bright inserts were definitely cone-shaped; these appear to be flattened
5. These seem to be deeper or taller than the ones JL used

...but, anyway, it'll be interesting to see how this turns out...

Dan, if the dimensions were given in cm, the knobs would then be less than 5/8" in diameter.

They're just "another" type of Rogan knob.

The irony is that Rogan probably still has the tooling for the knobs you want, and you could order them if you were willing to pay for a run of, say, 10,000 or so...

Yeah, that was a "doh" moment for me, I placed the order before looking at the pic.  . Maybe I'll ask Paul to build me a 150% scale 325!

LOL Paul! I guess I'll never learn that new-fangled metric system...

It's actually pretty strange these were never re-issued (outside of Japan), given how widespread the "Burns" knobs are these days.

If by "Burns" you mean those all-metal ones with the concave tops, it's because anyone with a machine lathe can make a set. There are thus set-up costs, but no mold costs, which can go into the tens of thousand$ easily.
