325JL questions

Post by arrow201 »

Friend of mine has a 325JL, without getting out the meter does
anyone know off hand the toaster details ? 7.4k ? ...we're these
pickups wound by machine or by hand (scatterwound) ?

How does the JL compare/differ with the Miami 'C' series ?

He took off the signature pickgaurd as not to scratch it and
wants to put on a plain one, ...from the boutique:

http://www.rickenbacker.com/cart.asp?category=Pickguards

...would the 350V63 pickguard fit (Sku: 03402) and match
(different shades of white?) ? ..or would he also need
to get Sku: 03400 (if it fits) to match ?

thanks Image

I think that the toasters on these guitars are before the 7.4K scatterwounds were made. On the 7.4K toasters, the corner screws are slotted head. If the screws are phillips head, the pickups are the earlier pickups.

As to the upper pickguard, just get that part. If it doesn't match then order the lower one. My guess would be that it will be close but not an exact match.

Hope this helps.
