New AFG 1996

Post by dlandau »

The brand new AFG 1996's are gorgeous. I saw 5 brand new ones opened up today and a vast difference from the 06's. They were all exceptional. The two photos tell it all. Including a Jetglo.

That is pretty dramatic. Way deeper and darker FG.

Give me a call John, I'm listed. You know I was at POTR when you called down. There is another Islander amongst us I found out.

Oh, very interesting! PM me with his name, if you know it.

Maybe an NYC pre-MARF mini-con? :D

It's cool that there is a Jetglo 1996 out there! :)

Is the 1996 still being made? Or are these just completed guitars from 2-3 year old orders? :? :)

Wow. That 2008 AFG finish looks like Monte Brown when compared to the 2006 AFG.

PS I know it's not the same as MB -- I have a 2008 AFG 360 and the reds and yellows are def there, but when side by side -- huge difference.

Beautiful, can we ever get enough Rickenbackers to add to our collection? Is it a disease?
Thanks for the photos.

I met Don when he came in to pick up the Jetglo. He was seduced by the power of the DARK AMBER!

Do you are a hell of a nice guy, good luck with your new guitars. I'm looking forward to seeing you again at MARFiii
