Lennon Capri V81 mod question

Post by 1OUfan »

I know-----this is a pretty "nit-picky" question but-----Does anyone know with certainty which length of switch tip JL used on V81 during the Sullivan appearance? I know the guitar originally had a short white tip and that he changed it to black when the guitar was painted black---was it a short black tip or the longer variety as found on the 325V59 for instance? :?

Looks like the short type to me...can't be much taller than the knobs in the second photo.

Dan:
I thought so myself, but I thought I'd ask the experts. Thanks for your input and the photo(s).
