I've known about this one for more than 10 yrs... I just didn't know who owned it, or where it ended up. Nice to finally see some pics of it.

I was shown a complete set of detailed photos of this guitar including the jackplate and the wiring loom just recently. It is real

That's nice! I'd say that 325's are far smaller than 4/5 scale though.

C'mon big players - step up to the plate! :)

Seriously that's cool, we're unlikely to see another for sale on the open market in a long while.

Is $100k a bargain? Who knows....but if it's all-original and legit, I don't think that's far off. Go find another one that's cheaper.

I am a bit confused. If this is V109, wouldn't this have been the 30th (V80-V109) one made? I thought there were only 28 made in 1958?

Not all of them are in that sequence are Lennon-esque 325's. For instance, v87: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... lebrity%3D

The 325 scale length is actually larger than 4/5 scale; the scale proportion is 83.83~% (vs. 80%).

325 scale = 20.75"
standard RIC 300 series scale = 24.75"

Do the math! :D

Thanks for saving me the trouble with that good explanation Ron. Certain people should check the facts before they start making ill informed comments

So to be clear, there were 28 "Lennon-esque" 325's made in 1958, just not necessarily in the serial number sequence of V80 through V107? Any idea what the 28th 325 from 1958 serial number would be?

Why do I get the feeling that this information will somehow be used against us. :D

I'm sure you've seen it, but Glen's terrific page may be of some assistance: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~glen325/index.html
