Yeah, when I first started my search I wanted a Jetglo obv. cause of John Lennon. But when I saw the MapleGlo with the Bigsby Vibrato I fell in love with it. I'm not a huge fan of the larger headstock but for the MG i think it works a lot better. Atheistically it balances out w/ the Bigsby. I just had registered it to the
forum Rickenbacker Register. I'm a very proud owner, haha...

Shane, I know just how you feel. I've had one just like it for a few years now and I don't think the honeymoon will ever come to an end. :D

Mine is from year 1993. What year is yours?

Mine is a 1993 model as well. Just gotta learn to play it. Meaning it's so beautiful, and I don't wanna chance scratching it, haha. Obv. though i will play it, and have. I got used, that that's why i kinda' like used gear it's already broken in and maybe have a few scratches already. So if it had a lil' bit no big deal. But when I got it, it was pretty much new. And i've read that ppl say you don't get that "Beatles" sound with a v59...but with the right type of amp VOX or a generic "VOX" amp on LOGIC PRO or Garageband, it sounds just fine to me.

Lovely guitar Shane! my V59 is my go to guitar at gigs and has never let me down.

Are you going to keep it original or Lennonise it with some of these?

I haven't really decided if it wanted to "Lennon-ize" it just yet, haha... I kinda' enjoy just the way it is for now. Though when I first started my journey in search of a Rckenbacker. John Lennon, was all I had on my mind, obv. I really wanted the 90's re-issue of the 325v64 miami...but I also loved the bigsby. I think it looks better with one, and at least a lil' more BA, haha... I may lennon-ize at some point and get the Jetglo finish and knobs.
