I have found this guitar on ebay. What do you think of it and its value?

Thanks

See the description from previous auction (in UK) for this guitar, which used to have fhole and is a 1966 BTW: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... p?id=33654

Guitar was sold to UK seller by Chicago Music Exchange 5 years ago.

Peter, click on the link in my post above. It will take you to the Register entry for this guitar which has the information set forth in the prior UK ebay auction.

Hi Ron,
thanks for your patient help, but the link to the auction must have been removed.
What really interests me is: Is this really vintage 1966, and what is the value after all these modifications ?

Thanks again

I think I would value this guitar as a converted 320. Here's a 320 1967 with fhole for comparison: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... p?id=25577

This was listed on ebay for $3999 but didn't sell. It was acquired by seller at the HA auction for around $2900 in April 2013.

Another possible comparison, another 320 1967 with fhole currently on ebay asking $3900: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RICKENBACKER-19 ... 4615c174b6

This one may also have some changed parts. The TRC (and of course the case) don't look correct to me.

Edit: That 2nd 320 in my post above is actually a 1976, according to the serial no. supplied by seller.

Thank you >Ron,
I think it is not more than $2.000, or what is your opinion? I think it is very easy to make a fake jackplate with a wrong serial number on it. The Poticodes are also from the eighties. Who is going to put a Bigsby on this guitar, the "Lennonization" is incorrect! Is there any way to proof the originality of the pickups ?

Thanks

Well, I'm the seller of this guitar - I read with great interest the posts above. As for the pots Peter, as I told you, only one has a visible code - yes, 1980. The others are obscured by solder. They are of a different type and the numbers that are legible are in a different font.

PS. If anyone needs clarification of anything at this late stage in the auction, you should ask.
