I'm very sad to hear this, but sadly not surprised. We spoke a couple months ago. I bought some parts from him and he threw in an awful lot of freebies... so I had the feeling this may be coming. What a nice guy - we bought and sold some cool guitarz from each other over the years. He'll be missed for sure. Coolguitarz.com seems to be down, but I can see it on the Internet Wayback Machine.

Very sorry to hear the sad news. I still own the Ric 650 Excalibur/Frisco which I bought from Craig about three years ago - needless to say, it arrived well-packaged in perfect condition. By sheer coincidence, I also came to own the 'one-off' 381V69-12 in Copper Gold which Craig had originally bought direct from the Rickenbacker factory - a fantastic example of Ric craftsmanship.

In the course of exchanging a number of lengthy emails, I came to know him as a family man of great honesty and integrity.

Sad news. I had the good fortune of meeting up with Craig a few times when he would visit family in my area. Great guy that I enjoyed spending time with. I am thinking about Craig's family now and I will miss him.

I am so sorry to have learned this. Craig's enthusiasm for the "one off" knew no bounds. Heaven's Rickenbacker collection just grew exponentially. He will be missed.
