My guess.........purely a wild guess btw, is that Howard somehow found a 350SH in Oz.

Alright you bunch of spoil sports...... no mucking around now.
Brian wins the prize... an all expenses paid winter in British Columbia at his expense.
Lots of swirls in the paintwork but nothing that an afternoon with Scratch-X and Zymol won't fix.
A couple of minor mods.... swap out the signature guard for a plain one to save possible wear and tear and a set of vintage knobs will round it out.
Cheers!

Re: The Rumour File
CJ, I'm guessing that yours is a 4080/6 with a spare set of bass strings and two sets of guitar strings. Close?

My good friend in Oz just pointed out that I can't count.winston wrote:It's a Mapleglo 4080 with a spare set of strings for the 12 string. That's my guess CJ.
I suspect it's MG in any event .............

That was my first thought upon seeing what you got!ozover50 wrote: I now have the guitar to go with the legs!!
Nice score indeed!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: The Rumour File
Hmmm, well, it is rather odd in that it actually has three necks...ozover50 wrote:Hm.... was it stored anywhere near Three Mile Island at any stage?cjj wrote:OK fine. My new Rick has 26 strings. Yep, that's right, 26. Any guesses?
Absolutely correct! On all counts (pun very definitely intended)!winston wrote:

Oh, and Aitch? You've now got the guitar to go with the legs? Well, ya know what? My new guitar actually came with a set of legs!
OK, enough mucking about. It's a 768. There, now you all know... Or do you? How many 768s have you seen?

OK, for those unenlightened few who are wondering just what sort of beast a triple necked Rickenbacker 768 Mapleglo looks like, here's a few pictures:
