Noone from the music store I work at is going to Anaheim this year (not a great year for business), but a couple of us will be going to Nashville NAMM this summer. I hope we get to go to Anaheim next year. It's always a great experience.

Looking forward too seeing you John, as well as everyone else who will be there. I'll probably miss Thursday because I'm kind of slammed at work, but I definitely be there Friday through Sunday. Thursday evening is cool for dinner and or hanging out as well as is the rest of the weekend.
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: NAMM '08
I would love to go Friday but no ticket...
Re: NAMM '08
Me too, John! I'll look forward to catching up with all you guys there. Maybe we should find a day/time to meet up and get a photo taken for the forum.jwilli wrote:Who's going? I know that Paul W. and Graham will be there. Anyone else? I'll be there Thursday and Friday.

I will be there Saturday.

For those who are able to make it to NAMM, I would be grateful if you could send us along any important Rickenbacker updates along with photos of the same. This is always an exciting time of the year and I cannot wait to hear the latest from RIC.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I'm local. If you guys want to meet up, give me a holler. It would be cool to see some fellow forum members there. I don't have tix to the show, but it would be great to meet up afterwards. I've only been once and it was complete sensory overload.

Paul - I'll be staying in Long Beach so we can definitely connect. I don't have an extra ticket, unfortunately. I know that for extra tickets for dealers they are costing $150. They still can be arranged by dealers if you know one that's attending.

I'll be there, but not in thr way that you think. A someone who makes their living playing, I spend most of my time earning cash doing other things. At this time of year, I set up trade shows. I was in Vegas the last two days breaking down CES, in Anahein today breaking a show at Disney, and on Monday, I'll be at Namm setting up the Luna Guitars booth and the Pro 5 Audios booth. If you see a harried looking Englisman with tourettes, come and say hi, otherwise just marvel at the booths, and imagine me having to take the damn things down after you've all gone.
I did set up a booth for this nice lady at the porn convnetion in Vegas last week, so it wasn't all bad.

It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

To be honest....I'm jealous but I hope you all have a great time!
Re: NAMM '08
Well, I'm all done with it until the breakdown. If you go there, marvel at the superb workmanship on the Luna (Dean) guitars booth (Booth 4272) or the P5 Audio booth (Booth 1006) in hall E.
The Dean guitars guy had me move the damn booth 90 degrees once it was built. It may have been because we got to chatting and I told him, that like most people who seem to lift heavy weights for a living, I was actually a professional bass player trying to pay the bills. He asked me what I played so of course we got to talking about basses. He asked me why I played Ricks instead of Deans, so told him that although the Dean was reassuringly expensive, I didn't really want to pay all that money for something that looked like something Ray Charles had designed, and sounded like a garbage truck.
It was at this point that he asked me to move the booth. There's a lesson here, though I have refused to learn it.
