Re: Cavity Markings
My '73 4001 has "4001c AG" in the cavity. I wish it was Maria or Jill or something!!
Re: Cavity Markings
Has anyone else seen corrections in the cavity writings?
Mine has a serial number written with a thick felt tip pen, which was crossed, and the actual serial number (the one on the jackplate and tag) above, all apparently with the same pen and same handwriting). The two serials are quite close one to another, about a week away in production.
It's a 2010.

Good one!
Re: Cavity Markings
hmm I did a search and it seems that unprecise or crossed out serials and other stuff are not too uncommon among new and old Rics...

Yeah, I have one that's got a big wide tape spot (bare wood) with the serial written, without spaces, in pencil, and no other marks like initials or anything. Just wondering if it's normal.
