No, but John Hall did have a few nice things to say about the replica.

No, they were all built around the same time, in the lates-80's/early-90's.electrofaro wrote:Ahh!
I hardly know anything about these - does Jackson Browne use Rickenbackers at all? From when's the first proto, and these "new" ones, are recent, then?
And no, Browne doesn't currently use Rickenbackers in his live performances, though one of his guitarists uses a Rick 12-string. And the JBLEs never proceeded beyond the prototype stage.

Glad to hear John likes your work, that probably meant a lot to you.LenMinNJ wrote:No, but John Hall did have a few nice things to say about the replica.

No need to explain yourself to me, Len. I totally get it and would love to get my mitts on one! It's tempting to snag an Atlantis and monkey with it.

Len...I think the wait is over, for one of the models...
Look on the farthest right, looks like a 2-pickup Browne model.

Two humbuckers and a maple fretboard - very cool!
Thanks, Jake!
(I wonder what guitar is immediately to the left of it - we see only the side of the neck and headstock.)

I think it is this white 350. (Second row - 2 from the right)LenMinNJ wrote: (I wonder what guitar is immediately to the left of it - we see only the side of the neck and headstock.)
You know one day I would like to do an inventory of all the RICS in the museum. I must have 200 pictures of the museum now (plus a few vids on Youtube)... It would be cool to sit with photoshop and crop it down to pictures of each individual instrument. Trouble is that RIC keeps moving them around in the place - they are on one wall in one pic and then are moved somewhere else in later pics. Some guitars must go into storage to make room for others.
Some of the instruments in the museum are photographed in the Tony Bacon book.
The one that interests me is the 80s WHITE WT 620 five from the left bottom row.

I meant the one immediately to the left of the JBLE prototype, rather than to the left of the mandolin.Ontario_RIC_fan wrote:I think it is this white 350. (Second row - 2 from the right)
You can see full shots of those on the Getty photo site. I found a full frontal shot of the torquoise JBLE seen in the Bacon book. Some of the instruments in the museum are photographed in the Tony Bacon book.
I see a dozen or more that interest me!The one that interests me is the 80s WHITE WT 620 five from the left bottom row.
And I'd still like to see the fifth JBLE prototype...
