Midnight Blue Question
IS Midnight Blue a metallic paint or a simple opaque blue?

Re: Midnight Blue Question
Let's get super technical... as I am genuinely curious about this: Is it a metallic blue, or a slightly translucent blue over a silver metallic?
Re: Midnight Blue Question
MB used to be a candy, with a blue tint shot over a silver basecoat. Currently it's a metallic.

Re: Midnight Blue Question
If we're being super technical, it's not metallic, it's pearlescent. Yes, there is a difference. It is blue pearl sprayed over JG.
Re: Midnight Blue Question
Thanks, Ben! Now, I just have to be able to remember that bit of information.

Re: Midnight Blue Question
I have a Midnight Blue...it sparkles like a metallic. It is very dark, however. The Midnight in the name is no mistake.
Re: Midnight Blue Question
That looks wonderful, Tom.

Wow! thought I was making a fashion statement by having matching straps for many of my guitars, but GEESH!, even a blue capo! Very cool ...I assume you like blue?

This picture gets the guitar in the same blue hue as the rest of my blue gear. And that blue capo? You can buy them blue, but I had to spray paint mine to match my guitar. Ahh, the things we do when we have too much free time on our hands.
And it ain't just blue that I like:
Yes, it's a bit strange, but fun to do.

Re: Midnight Blue Question
I usually do it with straps & guitars, but don't get EXACTLY the same hue like you do. Well done!

One day I will add a 660/6 in MID to the stable.
