Pickups Question

Post by treu »

What kind of pickups should I use to get me closer to the sound of these 2 songs? Toasters or Hi-Gains?

Either one will get you there. There is a lot more to getting that tone in the recording chain, but both, toasters and hi-gains, can do it.

Tough call. Remember he uses Fender Electric XII's and Epi Riviera XII's too. I'd try hi-gains first, though, if I were trying to mimic it. The first link soudns like hi-gains on the right and toasters or split coils (Fender XII Z's) on the left maybe?
