1991 330-12 - neck or bridge swap to Toaster?
I have a 1991 330-12 string and am considering replacing one of my PUP's with a Toaster....has anyone done this?

Sure you can. I'd change both, for my own taste, and put a proper harness in it while you're at it... Dane here (aceonbass) can best advise on that. I love these late 80's early 90's 12ers though... I'd actually leave it as is, and just get another guitar for the toasters, prefereably one with the 21-frets for the best placement of that neck toaster. A nice 360/12V64 would be a good choice.

As long as the original tone pots were 500K and the volume were 250K, I'd leave the electronics alone. However, as RIC has been all over the place on the specs of what they use over the years, I couldn't say for sure what's in there.

Pickups might be more balanced with the toaster in the neck.

thanks for the input everyone....at this point I'm going to leave it as it. I was curious about the Toaster hype but honestly, with my Keeley Compressor pedal and AC30VR it really sounds pretty good to me as is.
I will put future funds into the purchase of a 350V63 with Toasters already installed. I do not have a 6 string Ric so that's next on my short list of must have guitars ...

Good call! You've got a great guitar and I wouldn't mess with it either.
