4003 treb pickup volume drop, HELP!

Post by tnc2 »

Recently my 2000 4003's treb pickup has lost volume, Ive checked everything and cant find anything that loose, out of place or is touching, the input jacks have always given some crackling trouble but they dont appear to be worn or dirty. I took the pickup out and the only thing I noticed was the ground is a bit frayed but still have a decent amount of wire intact. ideas?

Which ones are those?

A likely source of the trouble may be the shorting switch contacts on the standard OUTPUT jack. Check those and clean tham, as necessary.

So, this has been modified? Or, do you not know how ROS works?

i got my multi-meter out and check the ricks pickup, it appears to be ok, it must be those jacks or the switch. heres a pic of the jacks, looks stock to me.

I see only one TRS "stereo" jack there on your harness. The other one you think is a stereo jack is a mono jack with a switch on it. Take a closer look.
