which type of truss rod is this?

Post by danoadam »

This is a 325 12 string. According to the Ric site it was made April 1986 so it should be the new style but since it's a vintage reissue maybe they used the old style? At first I thought it was made in early 2000s so I tightened the rod and it seemed to straighten the neck. Thanks for your help.

This is the current style truss rod, but I'm basing that on the year, because I can't tell by looking at it.

For lack of other terminology, I'd call that truss rod "standard short scale vintage reissue". The 1984 325v59 I once owned had one like it.
