Calling all TRUE Rickenbacker GEEKS!

Lets play a game!

1.) Lets say you can only collect 5 Rickenbacker electric guitars.

2.) With those 5 Rics, your goal is to build a collection that best tells the story of what Rickenbacker is all about, by incorporating as many different features and options as have ever been offered.

3.) You only want to collect electric guitars. (Sorry, no basses, acoustics, steels, mandolins, banjos, etc.)

Below are 100 different attributes of Rickenbacker electric guitars, made from 1954 to present. A perfect score of 100 using only 5 guitars is impossible… but how close can you get?

This puzzle came about as a result of me owning 3, + eyeing 2 more, very varied Rics. Together the 5 guitars I am contemplating would score a 71 on this quiz.

How do I score myself ?

Let my five be (1) 2004 330 MG, (2) 2005 360 JG, (3) 2005 360-12VP FG, (4) 2010 330-12 JG, and (5) 2018 1993+ JG.

I probably fail.

Rules 2 and 3 are contradictory.

I'm supposed to put together a collection that says what "Rickenbacker is all about," but without any basses?

I considered including basses as part of this game, but as I began to write down all their unique features, I realized doing so would pretty much make including a bass with your 5 mandatory, and even then it would greatly skew the ratio of features possible for 5 instruments vs. all features total.

But if you would like to compete using a bass (or basses) as part of your 5 choices, have at it!

(This is supposed to be fun.)

Better than I thought ... I pretty much like the hi-gain, modern-era guitars, in different finishes ... not much diversity !

This is a silly game, but I think the scoring should be weighed in certain categories.

I.e. Slanted Frets and Lightshow should garner more points than having a silver case.
