Janglebox Settings

Post by andyenobs »

As someone who is waiting for the arrival of his new Janglebox can anyone recommend the best settings for Roger McGuinn's sound.

Not that it would make a whole lot of difference, but what 12-string will you be coupling this with?

Hi Gary
Thanks for coming back. The guitar will be a Ricky 660/12 and probably a Telecaster Thinline.

Andy, what Janglebox are you getting?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Generally about noon to 1 o'clock on both knobs, and adjust to taste. Switch center for normal sounds, but throw it over to the treble setting for the McGuinn treble boost sound. COngrats and enjoy!

Thanks Jason for the info. It arrived today and once I noticed I got the IN in the OUT and the OUT in the IN and sorted it I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I just love the sounds. Money well spent.

I have noticed that if I crank too much gain on the JB, my 330-12 will feedback, which I don't want. I do this to try and gain the most "McGuinn" tone I can. I'd say the optimum setting for me is 1:00-2:00 on both controls.
