Modern 360/12 Schaller tuners

Post by Alan M. »

Hi. I have a new 360/12 with a tuner that I think is bent. It gets really hard to turn about halfway around, then slips back into easy again. Where can I find one of the same tuning keys to replace it? What exactly am I looking for?
Thanks.

Your warranty should cover that.

Yeah, get in touch with Ric customer service...they'll send you a replacement. It happened to me.

I got my 360/12 in '92. For some reason there is a tuner in the guitar case compartment. I guess I must have called Ric about a bum tuner and they sent me a replacement. I don't remember doing that, but I do have a tuner sitting in my case compartment. I sure didn't find it in the street, so I assume Ric customer service sent it to me for some reason I can't recall.

Sometimes Past Self was more on top of things than we realize. I found a Stew-Mac diamond-coated fret crowning file in my stuff recently. I don't remember ordering it and it wouldn't have been cheap at any point, but I'm sure gonna enjoy using it next time I do fret work. Thanks Past Scott!
