Welcome, Tom. That's great that you still have your original '67 4005. Thanks for posting a pic.

IMO you need a black switchtip on that 4005 to be vintage spec. Or did it come with the white one?

The 4005 is as I bought it in '67, no mods, although I'm not sure about the white versus black toggle switch tip.

The one bass I would trade everything I own for...probably would have to do that just to get one nowadays :)

I thought I did, but can't find it, at the moment! :shock: :lol: I still need to own a 4000 and a 4002 to have complete the basic set (4000-4001-4002-4003-4004-4005) , disregarding the 4008, for example. :mrgreen:

There is I believe two 6 string 4005 basses....
