I have read that Hank Marvin used the Burns from 1964 to 1970 in many of his recordings, not the least of which was The Rise and Fall of Fingel Bunt. I would realy like to know more about that title, but I digress."Such Burns-originated features include the heel-less, glued-in neck; 24-fret fingerboard, knife-edge bearing vibrato unit; active electronics and stacked-coil pickups."
I understand that Hank Marvin stopped using the Burns' model after it was stolen from him around 1970. It is hard to believe that he did not replace this model that formed such a significant part of his earlier playing period.
I am hoping that Goran might have some information in this regard. This question actually crossed my mind in an earlier post from Goran in which he expressed that it was possible to get a fairly close Burns' sound with a Stratocaster.
