Toasters - and education if you please!

Can someone kindly give me a tutorial on how to tell a vintage toaster from a newer reissue?

I'd like to know what the look of each was like in the neck and bridge position and also what the bass toasters looked like and how they changed as well.

Pictures would be a great aid if possible.

Russ, I have replied to your other post in the Curmudge forum with a pic and two links to good threads. I will continue to look for more.
